Fans with face paint, a grassy green field, the home jerseys of your favorite team—colors fill every football game, and every page of this football-themed color concept book. With awesome photos and simple text, Football Colors is sure to be a fan favorite.
"This budding sports fan’s guide to beginning concepts (colors, shapes, etc.) has one major weapon: a huge trim size that allows for gargantuan photos of nearly impossible sharpness and dazzling color, all taken from the Sports Illustrated collection." - Booklist

"Other entries in the SI Kids Rookie Books series tackle the alphabet and opposites, but this standout makes best use of the gigantic Sports Illustrated photos. Each color is given a dazzling two-page spread, some of which showcase huge pools of color (“White” is a wide shot of a snow-covered field) and some of which focus on important details (“Yellow” is a penalty flag sitting amid the green grass). One or two sentences of facts are attached: “Orange posts called pylons mark a goal line.” . . .So: educational? Yes, somewhat. Enjoyable? With all those Viking purples, Wildcat reds, Sun Devil blacks, and Fighting Irish golds, definitely." - Booklist
