Every town has a story. Experience small-town life and American history with this nearly wordless picture book. A magical newspaper takes a young boy on a journey through the history of a beloved hometown, from the 1860s to present day. Striking illustrations celebrate main-street Americana as the boy discovers the past and its importance.
"Overall my favorite part was how the pictures were colored like photographs from that time. I think this book would be amusing to kids ages 7-11 who are curious about their city’s past. You have to really study, pay attention, and see what’s different in the pictures. Some kids might just flip through the book and not notice. If you look in your past, you will find something interesting." - Kids' Book Buzz/SanFrancisco Book Review

Russell John Griesmer is a Midwestern kid from the small mill town of Mosinee, Wisconsin and is made from a family of farmers, lumberjacks, and soldiers. Today, he works as an Art Director in the bustling city of Minneapolis where he lives with his beautiful wife Danielle. And although his current hometown is a bit larger than his first, he still keeps one boot firmly planted in country dirt while the other sneaker skips down city sidewalks.
