In graphic novel format, text and illustrations describe the key stages of the water cycle.
"With scientific illustrations, friendly characters, and a mix of factual text and dialog, Robin Koontz (author) and Chris Davidson (illustrator) present a scientific perspective of the water cycle for the early elementary student. The strength of this book is the presentation—a graphic novel presentation of the water cycle, types of clouds, and how children interact with water at each of the stages. In the winter, for example, the pictures show children examining the snow with a magnifying glass, playing on sleds, and then having a snowball fight. Koontz emphasizes how water and children participate in an endless water cycle. While this is a well–presented visual guide for the young reader, the youngest readers will have difficulty with words like evaporation, condensation, precipitation, and thunderstorms. For this reason, this smart visual book is one which is best read side–by–side, teacher (or parent) with child. http://www.nsta.org/recommends/ViewProduct.aspx?ProductID=20470" - NSTA Recommends
