Scrap City Winner Announcement!

We are pleased to announce the winner of the Scrap City contest is, MOONS!

MOONS is the creation of a team of fifth-graders at Lincoln Park Middle School, in Lincoln Park, New Jersey and includes Leah Martinez (age 10), Emily O'Day (age 10), Rebecca Marino (age 11), and Nadia Ris (age 11).

MOONS (Mechanical Operation of Natural Science) is made of recyclable materials and she “helps charities and kids everywhere.” “She is very helpful for everything. She helps scientists with their research and she also helps stop the earth from pollution,” explained Leah in the video.

A huge congratulations to the team at Lincoln Park Middle School who will receive a $250 Michaels’ gift card, and $250 worth of Capstone books!

Thank you to everyone who entered the Scrap City Contest, and we were floored to see all of the amazing creations from kid inventors and makers! Keep an eye for more competitions to come from Capstone in 2016!
