Lorri Zieleniewski

Lorri Zieleniewski has been a special education teacher for 15 years. She has instructed children in grades K–4 who have a variety of disabilities and intervened with struggling learners in the classroom. She is also an adjunct professor at Saginaw Valley University, educating graduate level students in special education practices and instruction. Lorri earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and obtained a master of arts in teaching with an endorsement in learning disabilities from Saginaw Valley State University. She presents at the state and local level on literacy instruction and special education strategies and accommodations, is an annual conference presenter at the Michigan Reading Association, delivers literacy training and workshops to districts across Michigan, and is an MISD New Teacher Academy trainer. Lorri was also the recipient of the 2009 Make a Difference Award.
