Capstone Publishes Bestselling Series in Spanish for Fall 2019

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – August 8, 2019 – Capstone, a leading publisher of children’s books and digital products and services, is releasing some of its best-selling titles in Spanish this fall. The collection of 60 titles offers a mix of popular English-language fiction series, such as Jake Maddox Graphic Novels, Library of Doom, Pedro, and Yasmin, as well as high-interest nonfiction series, such as Monster Science, in Spanish for the first time for readers.

“Publishing our most beloved characters and series in Spanish offers a perfect introduction for native speakers as well as those learning the language. The demand for more Spanish-language titles, especially for fiction series, has risen dramatically. Our titles are perfect for ELL kids who want to read what their peers are reading and will be great additions for libraries expanding this area in their collection,” said Patricia Stockland, Capstone Publisher.

The books were translated into Spanish using a process called transadaptation, which keeps the natural rhythm of Spanish and maintains the correct context and difficulty level of the text while avoiding cultural bias.
