Apatosaurus

When the giant Apatosaurus walked, the ground shook. Once known as Brontosaurus, this dinosaur was one of the largest land animals on Earth. Vibrant images, accompanied by colorful maps, fun facts, and engaging text supported by Smithsonian experts take readers back to a time when these gentle giants roamed North America.

School Library Connection - Susan Boatwright, Teacher-Librarian, Prairie Crest Elem, College Comm. School Di

"This new dinosaur series is sure to please. The colorful pictures and postures of the dinosaurs make them ready to jump off the page. The print is large with short paragraphs for the young reader, while bubble captions and inserts provide additional information for the struggling reader. . . .Dinosaur books are always popular and this series will join the Jurassic world in popularity." - School Library Connection

Sally Lee

Sally Lee

Sally Lee is the author of numerous nonfiction books for readers from kindergarten through high school. Her interest in children’s literature began at the University of Missouri where she received her degree in education. Her years of teaching gave her desire to help children learn. When she left the classroom to raise her own son and daughter, writing nonfiction became a way to continue educating children. Her favorite part of writing nonfiction is doing research. It reminds her of a treasure hunt, especially when it uncovers off-beat facts that nobody else knows. It also satisfies her own curiosity about the world. Sally and her husband live in Dallas, Texas, with their children and grandchildren nearby.
