A palace of nightmares rises from the ground just outside the small town of Zion Falls. Four young heroes must prevent the dark tower from reaching the surface, or an army of pure evil will be unleashed upon the world.
"These four titles actually comprise one book, but published in four parts. They remind me of a combination of Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and Percy Jackson, with references to ancient gods, trolls, and other mythical creatures. Each title is a complete story, but since the continuing characters are not reintroduced, readers need to start reading with the first book. Each title has several symbolic illustrations, characters are drawn to let the reader know which character is being depicted. Although the story is the common “aliens have landed” variety, the variation is that some of the aliens are already on earth, below the surface. Recommended." - Library Media Connection

"...reminds me a little of the Lightening Thief series. . . . Kids who like action/adventure/scary stories will enjoy this book, especially if they need a lower reading level." - Denton ISD

"Fantastic for reluctant readers. The format works for them because the “hook” comes almost immediately and catches the reader’s interest. The ending leaves the reader wanting the next book in the series." - Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District, Houston, TX
