Reviews

NSTA - Ruth Ruud

"This book on space is suggested for first grade students but definitely could be at a reading interest level for pre–kindergarten and kindergarten children. There are approximately thirty words per page for a total of 199 words. The reviewer suggests that the content about exploring space could be utilized as a catalyst for additional learning experiences about space and space exploration. Additional content concerning the topics could have been included. Authentic photographs are used throughout the book. The glossary is adequate for the number of words in the book. There is a suggestion for an activity that teachers and parents could do with the children. The author states that the content supports the National Science Education Standards for Earth and space science." - NSTA
