"Classic art partners with modern graphics to illustrate Don Nardo’s summaries of major myths and epics from Ancient Greece. The ancient Greeks receive digital make-overs in a comic-like style that will attract students. Teachers could use sections of any of the topics to introduce the role of the hero, the power of myth, or the impact the ancient Greeks have on modern thought. A key in the last chapter visually summarizes the major places or people. The middle chapters contain too much information and would have worked better for students if shorter. Overall, students will be captivated by the dramatic splash and will want to read these books for entertainment as well as for research. Recommended." - Library Media Connection
