School Library Journal - Carol S. Surges, formerly at Longfellow Middle School (WI)

"This series is perfect for young readers looking to learn about big dog breeds. . . .Large, beautiful photos with every spread provide great images of the breed in repose or action. . . .Two “Critical Thinking” questions linked to the Common Core are specific to each volume and call on simple recall and higher level skills. These will be a hit in collections where there’s a demand for dog books." - School Library Journal

Allan Morey

Allan Morey

Some of Allan Morey's favorite childhood memories are from the time he spent on a farm in Wisconsin. Everyday he saw cows, chickens, and sheep. He even had a pet pig named Pete. He developed a great appreciation of animals, big and small. Allan currently lives in St Paul with his family and dog, Ty, who keeps him company while he writes children's books.
