Powerful Muscle Cars

Big horsepower, a big engine, and a big, steel frame can only mean one thing—an American muscle car. When they first came to fame in the 1960s, these rumbling beasts fueled fierce competition between car manufacturers. As Ford Mustangs, Chevrolet Camaros, Pontiac GTOs, Dodge Challengers, and other top muscle cars rolled off the assembly lines, muscle car mania took off. Give young readers all the facts on these mean machines, including their history, restoration, and why they are so sought after today. Charts, fact boxes, and high-impact photos will keep readers speeding through the pages!
