Boom! When rhinoceroses move, the ground shakes! These tanks with horns are one of the world's largest land animals. Engaging text, bold photos, and colorful maps shine a spotlight on these mighty pachyderms. Readers are introduced to physical features, behavior, habitat, and life cycle to find out why rhinoceroses are awesome!
"This book would be excellent to use to get students familiar with informational, nonfiction texts. The engaging pictures and graphics entertain students and the fact there are few sentences on each page makes it possible for even struggling readers to master this book. . . .This series would be a great addition to any library and would be of interest to many students in lower elementary who are naturally drawn to this section of the library." - NSTA Recommends

Some of Allan Morey's favorite childhood memories are from the time he spent on a farm in Wisconsin. Everyday he saw cows, chickens, and sheep. He even had a pet pig named Pete. He developed a great appreciation of animals, big and small. Allan currently lives in St Paul with his family and dog, Ty, who keeps him company while he writes children's books.
