Library Media Connection - Angelica Cuellar

"Filling the need for primary grade bilingual books, this series offers an introduction into the major components of the solar system. Essential information is plainly presented in one to two sentences with a supportive photograph or diagram. Acquiring scientific facts in a comprehensible snapshot makes it more manageable for early readers and builds a foundation for when they encounter more complex data. Aiding in understanding are the photographs and colorful diagrams, which are clearly labeled in both languages. The English and Spanish texts are consistently placed throughout: when not divided by a bold colored heading, a solid line separates the two languages. The Spanish used in the book is suitable for the young audience while maintaining the integrity of the facts. Successfully imparting important and current information in a coherent and attractive manner makes this series a welcome addition to any collection. Glossary. Websites. Table of contents. Index. Recommended." - Library Media Connection
