Booklist - Ann Kelley

"The six books in the Great Women in History series, geared towards early (or reluctant) readers, introduce courageous and inspiring leaders. Here Edison offers a concise look at the life and contributions of Anthony, women’s suffrage pioneer. In four short, clearly titled chapters, we learn about Anthony’s early life, young adulthood, life’s work, and legacy. Each spread features one captioned period photo and presents a cumulative time line running across the bottom of the pages. The sentences here are simply constructed (“Susan became a teacher in 1838”), and the chapters never exceed three spreads consisting of four or five lines of text. With a very small trim size that’s just right for small hands, this is a good starting point for further learning; luckily, the back matter suggests additional sources, both print and online." - Booklist
