Volcano Explorers teaches readers all about volcanoes, and the scientists who go to extremes to study them!
"The spectacular photographs and the simple text help young readers grasp information about volcanoes and gives insights into working as volcanologists." - Denton ISD
March 8, 2013
"This book gives a very good overview of how volcanoes form and the types of volcanoes that are in the world. Then it delves into what the scientists have to do in order to study and predict what will happen when a volcano erupts. The text and pictures show how the scientists climb, crawl, and even swim to find out information that will help man predict when eruptions will take place. The reader is shown and told how the scientist must face toxic gases, heat, and the lava that comes out of the cones of volcanoes to study this landform. –E.
