NSTA Recommends - Ruth Ruud

"In this book Wile E. Coyote is always racing and changing direction in his quest to catch the Road Runner so speed and velocity are the subject matter. As the reader follows the plight of Wile E Coyote the author presents experiments, explanations of the concepts of speed and velocity, formulas, and common uses for velocity measurements. The cartoon theme is continued in a story format to keep the attention of the reader with the humorous adventures of the Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote. This is a high interest book as it presents the use of speed and velocity concepts in a humorous venue. The author presents the science within the text of the familiar cartoon characters who continue their well–known adventures. There are other science related books in this series, all of which would be an excellent resource for classroom and school libraries." - NSTA Recommends
